A visit to Okanagan Heritage Museum, Kelowna, BC

Back in August of this year, when I was living in Kelowna, I visited the Okanagan Heritage Museum. This is a well maintained, interesting museum. Kelowna is the biggest city in the Okanagan region of British Columbia and this museum is integral to showcasing its rich history. I spent around an hour here strolling through the different sections. There is history of the people, of the land, of the first nation peoples and also a sports hall of fame.

Some highlights below:

A dinosaur foot print.

This is a recreation of a First Nations home.
There used to be a Chinatown in Kelowna at one time.
Cricket was played widely back in the1800s and early 1900s before its decline.
